Valar drew his sword he had heard enough.

While these people play their political games his people are being attacked and killed...at least he could cut-down some of the  leaders if he struck now.

As he pulled the sword free of its sheaf his hand immediately burned like fire, the sensation startled him to the  point he released... a soldiers worst fear he dropped his sword.  It clanged as it bounced on the hard stone floor, making a  ruckus until it eventually came to a halt…the sword was frozen solid.

He stared at his hand, it was bright red the intense coldness was the burning sensation he had felt.

People in the room gasped, whispered and stared at the sword now lying useless in the centre of the room.

The lord rose from his throne staring directly at him then around at the others.

“We  attack the North East! We leave in two days General you will lead the  troops with Em. I have spoken to Em and she will run a number of  skirmishes to cut off the city to ensure no message for help is sent out."

“But my lord, what can we do? we will be outnumbered ten to one”.

“You  simply need to keep them distracted, myself and Valar will do the rest.”

Em starred at him, then looked at the sword, she shook her head and vacated the room with the others, their orders set they would prepare for battle.

“Valar we must speak” said the lord walking towards him casually.
