LIFE BY THE HALF - My inspirational writing for the weekend

There are people who live their whole lives by the half, by the surface. All of us, at some point, do this, when we want to achieve something we aim, making plans for the future. But there are people who live all their lives superficially. With their family, love, and work. They don't value what they have. They even underestimate it, not appreciating the true blessings of their life, taking them for granted.

People who don’t dive deep into life, the days, the souls of the others. They don’t get deep or react to feelings and to what surrounds them. Instead, they let pointlessly win what they think is relevant, like pride, lethargy, conformism. Sluggish, indifferent. People that don’t bless what they have. They live their life by the half, putting the accessory above the essential. They give up without ever trying, or trying once more. Or maybe they aren’t even aware of what is truly important, so they don’t even bother to try.

Don’t do this, seek within yourself what is really important, what is worth fighting for. Go into the depths of yourself and find a treasure within you. A treasure of feelings, empathy, respect, of valuing what is truly important.
Because that's what you will get from life.
Nothing else stays.
Neither hard feelings, nor pride, nor even, perhaps, regret.
All this turns life into something superficial not deserved to be lived.
Life is a gift and its purpose for us is to give ourselves to it.
Fully.
