이번편은 '한국인이 한국인을 거부하다' 입니다. 이 만화는 예전에 막 한국을 떠나서 호주에서 살았을때 그렸던 생활툰 입니다. 호주가 배경이예요 ^^
^^Hello everyone, I'm posting my old cartoons that I drew when I was living in AU :) Today's cartoon is "Korean rejected by Korean".
요즘 많은 젊은 한국 학생들이 "워킹 홀리데이" 나 "학생" 으로 영어권 국가에 영어를 공부하러 갑니다.
그리고 어떤분들은, 한국인들을 피해서 '외국인 친구'만 만들면 영어가 훨씬 빨리 는다고 생각하십니다.
어쩌면 맞는말이죠! 영어를 쓸 기회가 더 많아지니까요 ^^
그런데 기왕 영어를 배울목적이라면, 어학연수 학원에서 사귄 다수의 외국인 친구보다는, 밖에서 만난 소수의 현지인 친구를 만드는게 훨씬 나을거라고 생각합니다만... 현지인이나 영어권 국가에서 온 사람아니면, 틀린 영어로 계속계속 끼리끼리 말하기 때문이죠!
저의 경우, 교통 사고가 나는 바람에 몇일밖에 못나간 학원이었지만, 그 덕분에 소수의 현지인 친구들을 사귈수 있었답니다.
마음이 맞는 친구 찾기와 영어를 배울 목적을 동일시 하는것보다는, 그 둘을 합리적으로 분리하는것이 스스로나 주변 친구들에게 더나은 영향을 준다고 봅니다. 같은 동포이기에, 이국땅에서 어려운 일이 생겼을때 마음을 터놓고 서로 도울수 있는 친구를 만들기회도 져버리지 않아야 하니까요.
Nowadays, many young Korean students are going to overseas for studying English.
Some people think they should talk with foreigners only, so they can learn English faster.
Which is kinda true, so they have more chances to talk in English.In my opinion, I would prepare to have a one or two close friends who live in here instead of having a lot of friends from the language school.
Because English is a foreign language to your schoolmates too, so nobody knows what's the right way to say.
Back in the day while I was living in AU, I had only a few friends who are from Australia. I met them outside of the school after I had a car accident, and my school life was finished in a few days.
But I think it was lucky that I could meet my friends and I could have more time to talk with them :)
Learning a language and having friendship have to be separated in my opinion, friendship cannot be "using" for your benefit. Furthermore, we should not miss the chance to meet your future friends as well. Who knows? The friends might be your best friend?
