We're back again with another Art Attack! If you're new to the series, this is where I share my drawings and the process behind them. A behind-the-scenes look at my artwork, if you will. This is not to say that I'm very good at art, or that I'm a professional in any way. In fact this is the opposite, and serves as a reminder to how I first started, and lets me track my progress too!
So if you weren't aware, I've been streaming on Twitch for over a year now and it's been fun trying new games and making new friends in chat and with other streamers too! I was also really fortunate to be welcomed into this small ragtag community of streamers! We're all really supportive of each other and celebrate each other's accomplishments like when my friend Suirie hit her 1 year anniversary of streaming on Twitch!
To celebrate such a momentous milestone, her mods put together a kudoboard, which works something like a digital bulletin board for everyone to write sweet congratulatory messages for her!
It's such a nice gesture and since there's an option to attach images and videos, I thought it'd be perfect for me to draw something for her! She has a channel redeem that viewers can trigger with channel points to make her wear these adorable cat ears and they look so cute on her! She also has a fluffy ginger cat Hiro whom she brings out on stream sometimes if you redeem it too!
So the idea for this was pretty simple. I was gonna draw Suirie wearing the cat ears holding Hiro, who's wearing a duck hat. Ducks are kind of a thing on her channel so I thought it'd be perfect especially since I've seen a lot of cute pictures of cats in duck hats that I thought were so adorable!

I wanted to do a better job this time compared to the one I drew for Tenzeru so I made sure to get a nice chibi head template and kept the details simple so I wouldn't screw up. And this was what I ended up with! I thought it came out pretty well actually!
I drew Hiro with a derpy face because Suirie always talks about the silly stuff he gets up to and I thought it'd be cute.
For the background, I wanted to keep it on brand for her channel, and she uses this soft pastel background with different colours so that's what I went with but I made it like a soft bokeh effect so you could see it behind her.
Her hair was kinda tricky since it's actually quite black irl but I wanted some distinction between her hair and the outlines so I made it brown instead. I used her emotes as reference but the way she drew them was just too good! Here's her heart emote:

The sketch looked really rough so I'm really glad with how it came out in the end. I think this is still one of the best presents I've done for my streamer friends (excluding commissions).
