Cream Cakes
Title of this art: Blue Bells Cafe
Hi Steemies,
Good day I hope you are as excited as I am just thinking about a cream cake. Makes me crave for a slice now. This is my submission to the artstorm contest hosted by @deemarshall.
The cake I chose to show is the orange flavored hope the two chunky slices on top did justice to that idea. I love seeing the layers, the cream that holds everything together and the imperfect lines and strokes I used.
This drawing is related to the florist on my previous artstorm entry. That busy florist owns a cafe which she named the Blue Bell Cafe. If you zoom in that name is on the white receipt on the bottom left with details about the order too. The busy florist managed to open this cafe despite budget and regulations issue in her place. As a serial entrepreneur she prefers to name all her business ventures with her favorite flower-- the Bue Bell
The cafe was opened six months after the flower shop rake in a good profit. Mrs. Bertie is the busy florist and serial entrepreneur. She designed the look and layout of her cafe and meticulously came up with the recipes of the cakes making sure they have some reference to seasonal flowers. This orange cake was inspired by the flower, marigold.This orange cake was inspired by the flower, marigold.
Process:
I started with the layers
Positioning of the oranges and trying the effect of dark background
Added more details like the cream, receipt , blue plate and green table cloth
