It's a Bird ! It's A Plane ! It's... DJ Lethal Skillz Submission for Beat Battle League Week #15
The Fleischer Superman cartoon series were the first animated short films released in Technicolor by Paramount Pictures based on the comic book character Superman in his first animated appearance.
I remember as a kid waiting anxiously to watch the original Superman cartoons on TV after school, especially the original episodes from the 1940's, that whole vintage lo-fi audio visual experience is something we rarely hear or see nowadays.
My passion to Superman was beyond watching the tv series and dreaming that i'm flying .. lol I used to also be a comic books collector and trader, sell and trade with my friends at school during the breaks and i managed to collect the full set of original Superman comics from edition 1 to 100. I still have them back home in Lebanon packed in a box in my mom's attic.
In this week's Beat Battle League #15 i wanted to try to capture that vintage feel starting from the intro and then taking it into my realm of Hip hop Boom Bap beat making. Happy Listening!
