Moscow Craft Beer Bar Tour 5

Beer Craft.JPG

Hello Steemers !!!!

I have been posting articles about Moscow's exciting craft beer bar scene on my wife's account : @aksinya but I will be posting them through my own account too as they seem to drown a bit in her art challenge articles and the Moscow craft beer scene deserves all the attention it can get. I lived in California for the past twenty years and got hooked on craft beers, my favorite being the IPA (India Pale Ale). I have been living in Moscow for a while now and was very happy to find out about the craft beer revolution taking place right here, right now. I have posted the links to my earlier Craft Beer Bar Tours on the bottom of this article. I will be posting articles about my craft beer tours, beer travels (St. Petersburg recently) and travel in general. If you like you can join us on our adventures discovering craft beer bars and breweries in and around Moscow!!!!

Moscow Craft Beer Bar Tour 5

Metro station Belorusskaya
We started our latest Craft Beer Bar Tour at a very nice craft bar called Beer Craft (Бир Крафт) on Bytriskiye Val 2 (Бутырский Вал ул 2), near Belorusskaya metro station.

The place was nearly empty when we arrived which was nice so we could get the table by the window with a view of the beautiful train station.

A really cool place with a nice beer selection, great interior, rather small but a great craft atmosphere and good prices. It looked like they serve some snacks and it’s an ideal place to sit on a rainy day as when we were there to sip a craft beer having a good conversation with a friend or just to watch people walk by on the busy street outside. When the weather gets better you can sit outside even, I hope I can smoke my cigar there while enjoying my Double IPA. Definitely a place I can recommend.

Next stop was Craft Point on 1st Brestskaya st. 66 (1-я Брестская ул., 66). It is a bit of a mix of an American diner with a Craft Bar. A good selection and knowledgeable staff and they serve snacks. A pleasant place for a good beer with lunch.

The last stop in this area was the Bad Bro Bar on Gruzinskiy Val 26 ( грузинский вал 26). This place is more a hamburger joint with craft beer added to it. It just doesn’t have the feel of a craft bar nor do they have the selection of beers or knowledgeable staff. I asked for an IPA and one as bitter as possible. The ones I got to try tasted like a milkshake, some sour fruit one, and a chocolate tasting one. I ended up ordering a Salden from the bottle…….Not my place for sure.

Metro station Pushkinskaya
The Crafter Bar located on Malyi Palashevskiy lane 6 (Малый Палашевский переулок, 6) is a bar that deserves a place on my favorites list. It just has that right combo of craft bar atmosphere, good beer selection, snacks, great staff and attractive interior. The place gets pretty crowded so I’m not the only one liking it. The clientele is a nice mix of young and older and it’s close to Pushkinskaya where there are more great places to visit. So put this place on your bar hopping list.
