Things Just Got Real Nasty Between Canada and Saudi Arabia

I only learned about this today. Canada apparently critizied Saudi Arabia over some jailed dissidents and human rights violations. (In a tweet. That's how we do business now...) The Saudi government threw out our Ambassador, cancelled flights to Toronto, and cancelled some trade deals.

According to the Toronto Star, the Twitter account @ infographic_ksa, which has been described by some as an “an official government account" put up this graphic, which has since been deleted. (I brightened the damn thing a little. Whoever handled the post processing on this was clueless, just saying.)

This shows a Canadian passenger jet being flown into the CN Tower. That's how I see it. I'll be in Toronto on September 11th. Let me just say in advance to whoever created this lovely artwork...

Go to hell you piece of garbage!

Plus, you really needed to brighten this - see how much more Apocalyptic it looks now? Dummy...

To be fair to the twitter account that posted this, here is their apology and retraction:

Speaking for myself alone: Apology NOT accepted.

A little update. Here's the tweet that caused the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to lose their minds. Pulling students out of Canadian schools, cancelling investments, demanding that we grovel to them. The poor dears were upset by the following:

ooooh... we're gravely concerned , we urge them. Friggin grow up you babies!

I don't normally talk politics but this hits a little close to home, you know? Want to see my other, non-political stuff?
