66 million refugees worldwide.
40% of the world's refugees are in the Middle East.

Sinjar is in Iraq's Nineveh Province.
There is no other way to put this: the thousands of people left on this mountainside are covered in goat droppings & have no water to drink, let alone to wash it off."

Yazidis are still paying the price today for the ISIS siege of Sinjar mountains.
Psalm 82
A Psalm of Asaph.
1 GOD STANDS in the assembly [of the representatives] of God; in the midst of the magistrates or judges He gives judgment [as] among the gods.
2 How long will you [magistrates or judges] judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!
3 Do justice to the weak (poor) and fatherless; maintain the rights of the afflicted and needy.
4 Deliver the poor and needy; rescue them out of the hand of the wicked.
5 [The magistrates and judges] know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in the darkness [of complacent satisfaction]; all the foundations of the earth [the fundamental principles upon which rests the administration of justice] are shaking.
6 I said, You are gods [since you judge on My behalf, as My representatives]; indeed, all of you are children of the Most High.
7 But you shall die as men and fall as one of the princes.
8 Arise, O God, judge the earth! For to You belong all the nations.
Psa 82, AMP
The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
16 Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].
Jam 5:16
Prayer delivers results.
Prayer is the potting soil for the miracle of forgiveness.
Who will pray?
Will we stand up to defend the poor & needy?
To rescue them from the hands of the wicked?

I worked in Khan Younis, Gaza for a bit. The folks there have been refugees for 40+ years. While there in one of the communities, my buddy, a CNN camera man who knew the area well, wanted to prove a point to me. He took me around asking people where they were from. We talked to a young girl, a man, and an old woman. Despite the fact all had either been born there in Khan Younis camp or had spent most of their lives there (40+ years in the case of the old lady) they all answered with the names of their families old villages. I will never forget that. They all answered without hesitation. Each identified and was from a place they had all but never known. The sorrow and strife caused by such separation, both from war and mental/social identification, is so deep. If you ever meet a refugee, please remember this.
