Comic of the Day | Batman/The Flash : The Button Review

Hi dear Steemillionaires! This is my comic rewiev content series. Today we will talk about Batman/The Flash : The Button! In 2011, the New 52 was reset to the DC universe. Before Flashpoint, the old universe was erased, but instead a new universe emerged in which the heroes were younger, some incidents did not happen, and some characters did not meet, marry, or never existed. Not long after the New 52, DC Rebirth was announced. The Button is one of the most important stories of the Rebirth. This is all about is both exciting and important. So, if you ready let's start to talk about The Button!

Synopsis

The story opens in the Batcave, where Batman has had no success in discovering the mystery behind the button. He carelessly tosses the button next to Psycho-Pirate's Mask where a reaction occurs, sending a bolt of lightning into Batman's chest. As he recovers, the Flashpoint incarnation of Thomas Wayne Batman is standing before him, but abruptly fades away as Bruce attempts to reach out to him. Batman notifies Flash, who responds by stating that he will arrive at the Batcave in "one minute". Right as the call ends, Batman hears the sound of thunder that signals Barry's arrival. He however turns to find not Barry, but Eobard Thawne, the Reverse-Flash. During the course of "one minute", Batman and Flash engage in a gruesome brawl, where Eobard pummels Batman and destroys Thomas's letter as revenge for Thomas killing him. After knocking Batman out, Thawne picks up the button and is briefly teleported away, returning with his entire body mutilated by an "impending threat" that he describes as "God" before he seemingly dies.[Wiki]

Which parts are good?

  • Jason Fabok's drawings were very beautiful. In particular, it went very well with the story of Tom King, and a visual feast was born. The comic book was good overall in the visual sense. They could create tension and hype with the panels.

  • The Rebirth story is already interesting. New 52 was disastrous, but Rebirth came like a savior. DC characters and storytelling began to turn into their roots. The story of The Button was both gripping and clever.

  • The comic book marketing part was also successful. 3D covers turned the fans crazy. You could not find anywhere you wanted to buy. Because it is really perfect 3D covers.

  • Incorporating old DC events into the story and doing it successfully. I think this is the best part of Rebirth.

  • The comic book had some excellent scenes. For example, Reverse-Flash been helpless in front of Dr. Manhattan. Thawne portrays him as God. That kind scenes are really cool.

Which parts are bad?

  • I think it was a wrong move to use Jay Garrick directly on the cover while there might be a super twist. It reminded me of Doomsday in BvS trailers.

  • Even though the event is over, the question of why the badge is still in Batcave has not been answered. We can even say that he did not answer any questions. It's actually a little sad. Yes we read a good story but we have not found an answer, just more questions...

  • The number of four that The Button is a teaser of the Doomsday Clock to be released in November is already clear. If they are uncomfortable with this, I can say that they are under their expectations. Just like me. Because I was expecting a bigger event, but the comic book came a little short.
