Since I will be undergoing surgery next Tuesday, it's quite unlikely that I'll be able to write my own posts next week. So it seemed to me that there would be no better time to help some promising newcomers to get more exposure by organizing a #newbieresteem - week.
During #newbieresteemday - week, I'll be rewarding both talented newcomers and their curators with free resteems and free SBD.
I'll tell you all about it, but first things first...
What is #newbieresteemday?
In case you're not familiar with the #newbieresteemday initiative, I'll give you a quick update.
(Feel free to skip this part if you already know about #newbieresteemday)
The #newbieresteemday initiative was founded about a month ago by @mudcat36 and @davemccoy. The main idea behind it is to give back to the community by helping newcomers to get started.
For this, we need the support of people with a reputation score of 40 and higher.
Your reputation score can never be too high to join the initiative.
Members of the #newbieresteemday initiative are taking all different sorts of actions to support newbies: there are newbie support sessions, games and contests (you can find out more about those at @newbiegames), meetups, giveaways and of course, newbieresteemdays.

You're also invited to join the #newbieresteemday Discord channel to stay up-to-date with everything that is going on.
#newbieresteemday - Week: How To Participate?
For this week, I'm calling out to all people with a reputation score of 40+ to go out and find quality posts by authors with a reputation score of 40 or under and post a link to it in the comments below.
Submitting your own posts is not allowed.
If you want someone to recommend your post, add your post to the post-promotion stream in the Discord Channel.
Become an active member of the Discord channel by using the general chat and make connections with other members. If you ask politely, maybe you can find someone who is willing to check out your post and maybe promote it here for you.
NOTE: Do NOT post links to your posts in the #general room!! First, connect with other members and ask them if they will allow you to send a link to your post in a message.
Rules
- Submitted posts may not be older than 3 days. (This to allow me to resteem them before they will have reached post-payout.)
- Only submit posts of authors with a reputation score of 40 or under.
UPDATE: you can now propose posts of authors with a reputation score of 50 and under!!! - You are allowed to propose multiple links from different authors.
- You can submit your favorite newbie post until Saturday March 3rd, 12pm GMT.
- Please show your support by visiting the posts recommended by other people and reward the authors if you think they deserve it.
- I will give away my part of the SBD earnings of this post to one randomly chosen resteemer of this post
Upvoting or resteeming this post is not required, still it would be very much appreciated. Upvoting will grow the prize pool, resteeming will give you a chance to win the generated SBD!
The Setup
I will be resteeming some of the recommended posts during the week.
Please understand that I can not say how many or when - all depends on how I'm feeling.
Which posts I'll be resteeming will depend on my interest and subjective opinion on quality.
When I resteem a post you recommended, I'll let you know by commenting on your submission.
At the end of the week, I'll write a recap of the posts that have been resteemed. The 3 best submissions (again, this will be based on my subjective opinion) will be rewarded. See prizes below.
