Blockchain-Based ETF In Canada Approved

Harvest Portfolio in Canada has recently been given approval to issue a Blockchain-based exchange traded fund in the country.

The press release says that after extensive internal testing, they will release the fund for trading on Toronto Stock Exchange starting next week.

The approval is a good sign for other firms in Canada such as Evolve Funds Group Inc. and First Trust Portfolios Canada who also have filed for the same ETFs.


JD.com, A Chinese Retail Giant Joins Blockchain In Transport Alliance (BiTA)

JD Logistics, a giant logistics arm for internet and retail in China has joined 'Blockchain in Transport Alliance' (BiTA) aiming to part its blockchain technology knowledge and applications with other global freight and logistics companies, including Penske, UPS, FedEx and more who are also members of BiTA.

The Blockchain technology has been seen as a potential solution for a more efficient, transparent and less expensive operations of the logistics companies.

JD logistics was founded in 2017 and is the first logistics firm to join the Blockchain In Transport Alliance.

It was then followed by other more companies including FedEx which has recently announced its membership with the alliance.
