Western Union Tests Transactions With Ripple Technology

The globally known financial services Western Union recently confirms the rumor that they are testing transactions using Ripple's Blockchain-based settlement system.

Western Union has decided to look into Ripple's platform in order to facilitate cross-border money transfers.

The company chose Ripple because it allows a thousand times faster and a thousand cheaper transactions than Bitcoin.


South Korea Considers A Licensing Scheme Similar To BitLicense For Cryptocurrency Exchanges

According to reports, South Korea is considering a technology-specific licensing scheme for cryptocurrency exchanges as part of its proposed regulation.

The rules will bear a similarity to BitLicense of New York in approving exchanges.

This news seemed to softened the country's stance on cryptocurrency exchanges after some regulators had proposed total banning of the crypto-exchanges.
