One Of South Korea's 'Big 5' Bank Has Completed Ripple Remittance Trial

Woori Bank, one of the top five largest banks in South Korea has successfully completed a cross-border blockchain enabled remittance trial developed by Ripple.

This is already their second phase of testing which was started January this year.

The bank's IT departments and Foreign Exchange are set to introduce and commercialize the technology soon.


Sixteen Japanese Cryptocurrency Exchanges Are Forming a Self-Regulatory Body

Sixteen government-approved cryptocurrency exchanges in Japan are currently teaming up to form a self-regulatory group.

The move follows the hacking event happened to Coincheck, one of the biggest crypto exchanges in the country.

The body will be set up this spring but no name for the organization nor date of registration with the country's Financial Services Agency (FSA) disclosed yet.


Liechtenstein Based Bank Launches Cryptocurrency Investment For Clients

A family-bank based in Liechtenstein, Bank Frick is currently one of the first banks worldwide that allows their clients to invest directly in cryptocurrencies.

The first batch of cryptocurrencies to be made available for trading are bitcoin, ethereum, bitcoin cash, ripple and litecoin.

The bank is targeting institutional and high-valued private customers who can buy in with US dollars, euros and Swiss francs.

Only fully identified and verified clients can invest in cryptocurrencies at Bank Frick.

Crypto assets will be stored in cold wallets where private keys are kept offline and away from hackers.
