Samsung Wins A Deal With South Korean Government For A Blockchain Platform

Samsung's subsidiary, Samsung SDS has recently revealed that it has signed a contract with Seoul Metropolitan Government to establish a platform based on blockchain for the public sector.

This deal will help the company to develop its information strategy plan in supporting the administration across welfare, transportation and public safety affairs in the city by 2022.

Seoul, the country's capital city is looking for ways to better transparency and convenience for the public using the blockchain technology.


Biggest Underground Mall In South Korea Adopts to Bitcoin Across The Mall's 620 Stores

Goto Mall, the biggest underground shopping mall in South Korea has recently announced to start accepting Bitcoin as payments from customers.

The Bitcoin payment service will start this mid-December through a partnership with HTS coin, a local cryptocurrency exchange in the country.

With the mall spanning 880 meters long, there is approximately half a million people who visits the mall.

It is connected to one of the major subway transfer stations I the city.
