Yesterday I made a post about the CLAMs, a cryptocurrency that you can get for free if you held a balance on May 12th 2014 in Bitcoin, Litecoin, or Dogecoin wallets. At the end of that post I gave a link to the website called Just-Dice. Just-Dice is a CLAM casino with a dice game and a low 1% house edge.
Because clam coin is not developed anymore there are only a few things you can do with them. You can hold them, because you think their value will increase, stake them, exchange them for a cryptocurrency with a brighter future...
or you can gamble them!
I have never understand people playing dice games, because there is no skill involved and everything is about luck. I tried all kind of strategies - doing small bets with a huge amount of rounds and also the "big" stakes with higher probability to win. I actually let it go for a couple of hours with a macro that I had on a toggle.
It was fun for quite some time. However, in the end even with such a low house edge I didn't really have the opportunity to make any money and I ended in a loss. I wagered over 258 CLAMs with a loss of 4,5 CLAMs. Maybe I was just unlucky!
I would have never think there are so many people playing these games over something like poker, where there is much more skill involved. Sometimes I wonder how can people gamble those amounts on something like this.
12 CLAMs is 89,4$ and that was just one of the bets!
There are many websites like just-dice that offers games with 1% house edge, no registrations and with many methods how you can deposit. These are just some of the high rolls from past few hours on the luckygames, another dice gambling site.
@bayareacoins spoke to the owner of luckygames and they are going to add steem to their platform. That is a great news for steem even if you are not a gambler! :)
And now imagine that there is a peer-to-peer fair blockchain based casino without house edge, possibility to earn share on the profits that the network collects and where you can play and deposit with a lot of cryptocurrencies. Its name is PeerPlays and the first Daap (decentralized app) is coming very soon. It's Peerplays Eight.
And that is not the only blockchain based casino. There is also the first fully transparent Ethereum based casino called EdgeLess with 0% house edge that will also offer blackjack and poker. These games looks much more promising than dice games in my opinion.
Their parity wallet got hacked and they confirmed a loss of 26793 ETH. They will purely ran on EDG tokens now. However, they are still going strong with the project and they will hopefully launch in the third quarter of the year 2017.
There is also Wagerr, the decentralized sportsbook. It uses blockchain technology to execute betting contracts. You will also be able to stake the coins.
There was a opportunity to bet on the match of the century to win some wagerr. The first version of head to head betting is also coming this year, in the third or fourth quarter.
It's going to be crazy! Later on there will be no need to use websites such as just-dice or luckygames with their 1% house edge. You will be able to play with casinos on the blockchain without any house edge, instant deposits and withdrawals, with the possibility to earn coins just by staking and with the maximum transparency! I still think that PeerPlays will be the best of these three and I am really excited for their first daap!
Thank you!
