Since my first post, I've decided to keep up a weekly schedule of introducing new and unique Korean users to the global community in order to cultivate more robust cultural exchange. The KR community is experiencing an influx of several thousand new users per day and its harder than ever to discover great new content producers.
More recently, I've been chosen as an honorary “mini-curator” for the KR group and I intend to take the role very seriously. As a Korean American, I think most of my value lies not simply within the group but as a bridge between this and other communities.
As last time, I'll showcase a few new members and explain why this form of content creation is productive for Steemit users. After the payouts in 7 days, I'll split the earned Steem Dollars to their accounts.
Let's begin!
Racing Faster with STEEM
@Umiksang is nothing if not an enthusiastic character. A mechanical engineer by education and mechanic by trade, his true passion lies in sharing knowledge about everything related to cars – ranging from daily car issues to his own custom buggy races.
In his most recent post, he walks us through his entire process of making a 4-wheeler for the purposes of an international competition, the 2007 Minijava Offroad Competition. As a New Yorker, I rarely get behind the wheel so seeing such hands-on expertise of a niche community is an exhilarating part of Steemit for me.
I'm sure these are just teasers for similar future posts. If this sparks your curiosity, be sure to check out the original post and his wall!

@Vimva maintains a super interesting concept of presenting his “dieting” lifestyle and racking everything from what he eats and how much he has lost (or as you'll se in many posts.... gained....). Not easy to lose weight in South Korea, the country where your dining table can literally be a grill. Click here for posting
Vimva is actually a graduate student majoring in clinical psychology. He may just be Steemit KR's mental health expert, also curating #kr-psychology posts from the Korean community. His posts are fun and precisely knock the social nature of this site.
- 먹스팀 다이어트 ㅎㅎ
As you can see, he is fully transparent when he completely falters on his diet... =D
Still, he's managed to lose about 3.8kg (8lbs) while on this site in the past month! Pretty pretty impressive!
Vimva님, 화이팅!
That's it for me for today. As always, I absolutely love helping out these unique individuals in any way I can. Korea's diversity and multifaceted energy is unfortunately so often hidden under a veil of a single mainstream. Stay tuned for future characters and be sure to stop by their walls and say hi!
