DIY On the Fly: Lily's 5 Minute Cooking Utensil Holder

As we end up with more things our lack of organizational stuff becomes more apparent every day. This has caused us to start investing in shelves and containers which have helped a lot. It's one thing having stuff, it's another thing having a place to put it and when your priorities are eating or buying that utensil holder, you put it off. We're finally at the point where we can afford these little things but I like having skills to reuse the things I already have to make new solutions.

So when I emptied my cacao powder container making brownies I saw an opportunity to solve this little problem with little effort.

It's a bit top heavy truth be told but it's a great free option.

Just wrapped it in foil, folding the extra inside and smoothing the edges. I used the lid for the base, not pictured in these photos but something that seemed like a good idea as an afterthought.

I don't expect it to last forever but it's a great temporary solution as things change within the house.
