So yesterday my sister in law came over to our house with her two daughters to spend the night. They live approximately 2 hours away and have come down early for Christmas dinner which is happening tomorrow night.
Luke and her one daughter are very close to the same age, so he always loves when they come over. We had a great time watching Christmas movies, playing games and talking about what our elves have done over the past few weeks.
Little did we know that this morning Holly (their elf) was going to follow them here as well.
It looks like they have all gotten into the Christmas Spirit. Jingles, Holly, and the Penguin. They pulled out some Christmas themed Costumes and brought the kids one of those melting snowmen toys. I am not sure if you have seen them yet but they are a type of putty that slowly flattens out over time. Here is a quick video of the snowman melting. The video is a time-lapse that was filmed over about an hour time period.
The kids loved it and I actually have been playing with it just as much as they have.
I also just wanted to point out that the upon closer inspection, the penguin does not look too pleased about being dressed up in a star costume. I don't think that he put it on by choice. I also found out that the penguin actually has a name. His name is Waddle and his birthday was on December 19th. That was the day that Jingles and Waddle made up and were hanging out by the gingerbread house roasting marshmallows over a campfire.
Well the ride is almost over. Tomorrow is Jingles last day before Santa picks him up in his sleigh and takes him back to the north pole until next year. It makes Luke and I pretty sad to think about. So lets just enjoy the time that we have left.
