Morning on my side of the world and you know what that means... SMOOTHIE TIME! A morning meal like this gives you a head start on getting 5 to 10 servings of fruits and vegetables you need each day.

While these yummy foods will give your body some love, why not add some extra love to your morning meal. Love is something that everybody can relate to. It comes in many small ways that we can easily be overlooked in our daily lives. That's why I try to add love to every meal. Not only does it taste better when you know the meal was made with love, it gives the ones around you a special feeling!

My hubby and I rarely buy each other gifts on birthdays, Christmass and we kinda hate Valentine too. Does this mean the love has died out after all those beautiful 17 years? Far from.

LOVE IS IN THE SMALL THINGS!!!


Like in this morning's green drink packed with plant and Amy love ღ ღ ღ To me these little things mean so much more than getting a gift. True love can be expressed daily in hundreds of different ways. Though this will be different for everyone, I find love in the small things that usually aren't things.

Love is in the little things you do for your partner. And this simple smoothie was one of my ways to express my love. If you think expressing love is about buying an expensive necklace or going on expensive holidays, then it might be time to put on your pink love goggles and change the way you imagine it to be.

Love can be expressed and felt in the most insignificant of situations making them a memory of a lifetime, like drinking a green smoothie together!

INGREDIENTS (serves 2 for breakfast)


2 cups baby kale
1 medium carrot; peeled and chopped
1 small beet; peeled and chopped
1 cup strawberries (fresh or frozen)
1 medium banana; peeled, chunked and frozen to add extra creaminess
2 tbsps extra virgin coconut oil
1/4 fresh mint, or to taste
1/2-inch piece fresh ginger, or to taste
Water as needed
Chia seeds (optional topping)

DIRECTIONS


  1. Place baby kale, water, carrot, and beet into a blender. Blend until smooth. Add all other ingredients and blend again. If you have a high -speed blender you can throw everything in at once. If the smoothie is too thick for you at more water.
  2. Optional: top with superfoods like chia seeds, hemp hearts, or goji berries if you like. I used chia seeds.
