Oh hello, lovely people! Here is my first entry into the "a smoothie for @smooth" #steemitculinarychallenge.
Many thanks to our gracious host @woman-onthe-wing and to this week's fabulous judge @rebeccaryan. So glad to see this challenge is back on! Now let's get down to it!
This green and purple beauty is a complementary mingling of fruits and superfoods sure to fill you up without bringing you down. With no added sugar, this colorful smoothie goes down easy.
The green layer is packed with nutrition. The fresh spinach and liquid chlrorophyll bring on the green plant energy. Lemon juice adds a fresh twist and a punch of vitamin C, while coconut water pumps you up with electrolytes. Bee pollen from a local farm is sure to boost your immunity while easing digestion, and mango, banana, and yogurt bring on the sweet and creamy for the win.
The purple layer is loaded with antioxidant-rich berries, and refreshing garden mint. Chia seed and cacao nibs lend their superfood hands to give you loads of energy, and unsweetened almond milk brings it all together.
