Firecracker Shrimp ~ Food Photo Shoot and Video

These Spicy Firecracker shrimp are easy and some of the best I've had. The shrimp are seasoned with a spicy marinade and then wrapped and then fried! Served with a sweet chili sauce and a spicy mayonnaise/ sriracha sauce. These are a delicious shrimp appetizer that will definitely be a winner at your next party. VIDEO RECIPE below. Enjoy.

How to make the Best Rolled Firecracker Shrimp ~ Spicy Wrapped Shrimp Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
Shrimp
Spring Roll Pastry wrappers
Frying Oil
corn starch slurry - 1 tsp. of cornstarch/1-2 tbsp. water

Marinade:
1 tbsp. minced garlic
1 tsp. grated ginger
1 tsp. (or more) hot chili sauce - optional
1 tsp. lemon zest
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. corn starch

Devein and clean shrimp.
In a bowl add shrimp and marinade ingredients.
Stir gently but thoroughly.
Refrigerate for 20-30 minutes.

Cut spring roll wrappers in half diagonally.
Rub top and edge of wrapper with corn starch slurry.
Place shrimp on wrapper with tail sticking out.
Roll tightly, fold down top and continue to roll till end.
Continue process with all the shrimp.

Heat oil to 350degrees. Add wrapped shrimp carefully to oil. Cook and occassionally stir for 3-4 minutes depending on the size of your shrimp. Remove from oil and place on wire rack to drain.

Serve with a sauce of your choice.
Enjoy.
