Today I was nominated to continue a cute story about a mouse named Isabella. This story was started by @freedomtowrite and has been passed to @snook and @eroticabian and now to me. You can find the other parts of the story in the following links:

The prompt is eyebrows and this is my part of the story…..

Isabella took the initiative to help with his problem. And proceeded to run circles around Max gathering the materials she needed.

“No mouse is going to be homeless around here.” She said; thinking more on the lines of Max not making her home his home, but no matter.

“Hand me those thimbles with the threads.” She said.

Max quickly brought them to her one by one.

“We will need to run these lines to the other mice homes. Do you think you can do that?”

“I don’t know, that seems like a lot of work…”

“Well do you want me to help make you a new home, or do you want to sit around all day pulling out your mousy eyebrows?”

“I do want a new home.”

“Then get it together Max. Once we have a line of communication set up, we will be able to tell each other when the monsters are around. Let’s pray that they haven’t hired muscle.”

“Muscle?”

“A cat. They will crush you in one bite. Do you know nothing of being a mouse?”

“I just like to eat.”

Later, the thimbles were placed in the other mice’s homes and each of them gave a little chirp when the coast was clear.

Isabelle drug Max past one home at a time until she found him a safe place to hide.

“Now all we need to do is gather you nesting materials….”

Ding!

Because I forgot about the mice story, I also included the freewrite I wrote before I remembered. So today you get two for one!

The Prank

She snuck past her parent’s room and down the hallway as quietly as she could. She was a bit overweight and the floorboards cracked under pressure, but Cybil looked back and heard nothing. She was giggling the entire way to her brother’s room. She was about to do something very dangerous.

Her brother Carl had been playing practical jokes on her for the last month. First it was her hand in warm water, then it was the shaving cream trick. Every time she had been sleeping, unable to see the attack coming, or stop it from happening.

She had tried to get him back unsuccessfully in the past, but this time she made sure she was going to get away with it. She picked the perfect circumstances.

She waited until Carl was not feeling well and had to take cough syrup before bed. It had been two hours and he was bound to be in a deep sleep. Cybil sat in her bed waiting, plotting and smiling.

Now she could enact some well-deserved revenge. Sure, it was cruel, but he earned the retribution.

Very quietly she snuck into his room and turned on the lamp beside his bed. He was laying on his back with his arms above his head making it even easier.

She put a small dab of shaving cream over his right eyebrow and proceeded to shave it. She repeated on the other. She was laughing so hard she dropped the can; making a loud crash. Cybil held her breath, but Carl didn’t wake. He would find out soon enough that he shouldn’t mess with his baby sis.

Ding!
