This is a follow-up from one of my previous post about the #gaming tag disappearing from the front page of the Steemit website. You can find the original post here.
Tags 'n Stuff
When we submit our posts we have the option to add 5 tags. This is very important because this tag will ensure that the post will be visible in that section. Always make use of the 5 tags to increase the visibility of your post.
Another advantage of the tag is that if a section is popular (has a lot of posts) it will become visible on the front page, generating more traffic to this section.
The gaming tags
For gaming we have a couple of tags #gaming, #games, #game and #retrogaming for example. Because of this we don't have one strong tag but our posts are kind of scattered around.
The tag #gaming is the most popular and because of that #gaming was proudly displayed on the front page.
Say it ain't so
For a couple of weeks now #gaming has been low in the rankings causing the tag to disappear from the front page.
This is bad news for all those posting about gaming. This is caused partly by a decrease in the number of posts but also by the fact that not everyone posting about gaming is using the #gaming tag.
The solution
As suggested in my post Gamers Unite! we need to band together and start using 1 tag as our main tag. My suggestion is to use the #gaming tag as the main tag. Remember you will still have 4 other tags that you can (and must) add to your post.
@badastroza has already been busy informing people to use the #gaming tag so that gaming can reclaim it's place on the front page.
What can you do?
First off, join the movement by using the #gaming tag as your main tag.
Resteem this message or inform other gaming Steemians about using the #gaming tag.
We all will benefit if Gaming is visible on the front page.
