With each week that passes during our candida cleanse, we see more and more amazing progress towards health!
For 4 "on" days a week, we observe a diet based on fruits and veggies with no sugar, meat, wheat, or dairy, and we take 1 teaspoon of 100% gum spirits of turpentine first thing in the morning. On the next 3 "off" days, we do not take the turpentine and eat whatever we want.

For many people, the first few days or week of a detox is often the most difficult. As pathogens die and release their poisonous metabolic byproducts into the human system, die off side effects can potentially be very uncomfortable.
We're seeing that detox can have a varied effect on each individual, but after 3 weeks we have seen some impressive results: EVERYONE is experiencing a decrease in overall die off symptoms! Unpleasant symptoms lasted a few days potentially to a week, but now we're pretty much over that.
This is really exciting, because the discomfort is one reason many people prematurely abort the protocol. We experienced and share that it is only temporary and gets much better, so we encourage everyone to stick to the plan despite what might come up!
The above chart shows the die off symptoms we experienced as a collective over the last three weeks. Week 1, shown in blue, had a higher frequency of almost all symptoms vs the latter weeks.
The biggest drop for any side effect was for strong feelings and emotions. This might be a surprising side effect for some people, but it's very common during a detox, especially given that we are specifically targeting the health of our digestive tract where most of the body's neurotransmitters are created. During a detox, repressed emotions come up for addressing & clearing as the body gets healthier, not to mention people are super resistant to change and have emotional experiences with it - even when the change is "good" like making upgrades to health. We experienced that it is much more intense during the first week and gets much better!
The chart above shows the overall drop in side effects from week 1 to week 3. There are a few that remain close from week to week such as stomach aches and feelings of dehydration. The stomach aches have been consistently a few of the same people as well.
The amount of people experiencing no side effects at all has increased. It is not a large increase yet, but it does shows positive progress for our group!
We also see a difference in symptoms between "on" & "off" days.
The worst of our die off symptoms occur while taking 100% gum spirits of turpentine and adhering to the diet. On off days, they basically level off to very minimal or non-existent. It is not a surprise that tiredness is a main symptom of detox and that it subsides when the body is not working so hard to clear the gunk.
We're feeling better than ever and enjoy the improved quality of life every single day! We are collecting, analyzing, and sharing data points from our experiment on the blockchain to inspire others towards getting happier and healthier every day too! We have seen dramatic differences in individual health over the course of this cleanse, and we're finding that it's getting easier and easier as time goes on.
