Thank you so much for all your support again this week! Because of all the love and support you've shown me, I managed to pull off another win in this past week's @killerwhale Karaoke Contest! Thanks to your support, I'm slowly but surely coming out of my shell and becoming more and more comfortable and confident in my singing abilities. I truly appreciate all of you for believing in me enough to cast your vote for my entry!
This week, I've decided to sing one of my favorite musical theater songs, "The Impossible Dream" from the broadway musical Man of La Mancha. Still reeling from the recent death of my Chamorro mom and the depression I have been feeling from the realization that I won't be able to be on Saipan in time for her funeral, I felt it was fitting that I would sing about an impossible dream this week.
It was indeed an impossible dream from the start, but I held on to the belief that it would really happen because I truly felt with all my heart and soul that the recent death was my clarion call to come back home after over 10 years of being away. I guess life doesn't always work out as we want it to, and singing this song is my way of coping with that fact of life.
