Catch up with Day 1 in this post and Day 2 in this post. All photos from this post took place one week ago today during MegaCon 2018. Saturday was of course the busiest day. Any of the big names that were only making it to one day, Saturday was the day. Yesterday I had posted a shot of Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti, but it really didn't compare to the shot I had grabbed on this day, please take a look at the smile on the fan who just got her booked signed, so awesome:
Everyone at all tables was awesome. Even big names like Elijah Wood and Jeff Goldblum people were allowing photos for small press Steemit blog coverage. Oh wait, there was one incident ...
I am too amused by the above shot with the tough guy guard blocking the shot when I finally got focus. MegaCon staff is not the same as the handlers the entertainers and creatives bring themselves, so though I had permission from event staff to go up and grab some shots at the table, that guy at the table disagreed with that staff with many curt words for me. Good times.
Ended up meeting the great Paul Ruebens later in the day and just about made the con for me. No pictures, no autographs, just a hand shake and he complimented my shirt and made me feel like the most special girl at the prom. Make all the Pee Wee hand shake jokes you want, I refuse to wash this hand.
Real or not, I love catching a creator being happy to see a certain comic or item at their table from a fan that usually ends up getting you a personal story from the history of someones work you enjoy:
The below picture is a little blurry, but I still wanted to post it. Stephen Moyer from True Blood and The Gifted among other things, still taking time with a fan after a lot of other celebs might pack up and leave. He still had fans in his line, he stayed around for them, and not rushing anyone, was just cool to catch:
