With over 2,000 beds, KEM Hospital is Mumbai’s largest municipal hospital is under knee-deep water after heavy rains. Patients had to be moved to the upper floors from the flooded lower level wards.
At Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital, Sion, water is dripping from the ceiling in the third floor in the operation theater.
“We are worried about infections … the rain water is circulating rubbish that is now entering parts of the emergency ward.”

Nature's wrath or civic rot?
Has water has receded from most parts of the city & trains have resumed services? Lower Parel area, which resembled a water body at most places till yesterday is now cleared.
A trail of debris and garbage is strewn across the city, which must be cleaned before further rainfall or the entire garbage will end up clogging the city drains.
