Album of the day #4 Motorpsycho -Demon Box

Fourth iteration of my column takes us back home to my home country. Motorpsycho debuted as a kind of Metallica clone. Their second album Demon Box, however, paved the way for a unique band with a variety of styles that spans from noise to pop with an emphasis on stoner and metal. But they are never afraid to stray away from a formula. The sound and expression usually changes from album to album.

Motorpsycho -Demon Box (1993)

I remember I got this album. I was just finnished with my military service. I had just got my first CD player. The music press was screaming at the top of their lungs: GET THIS ALBUM. So I did. I dived in I think i never got out again. It is a conceptual album that meanders through a ton of different soundscapes, even folk rock. But the coolest parts are the eerie noise passages and the sheer energy they pump out.

The most important release the band ever did, though they have a vast catalog to choose from.

There was no full length on Youtube, so i picked the videos and three of the most important tracks.
