As one of the 6 judges, and as an original artist also, I aim to represent the best original artists in this contest from our wonderful Steemit community. I am keeping my ears open for cover artists as well, don't worry but creating an original song is indeed impressive, especially if executed and performed well. This week was filled with so many wonderful artists, even amongst the high amount of entries, and there were still many talented performers who entered, so forgive me if I didn't list you, I definitely heard everyone's entries. You really strike a chord or five with the soul and have that warm ambience and pondering deep vibe to your music. 2. @pechichemena's "Reflejos" Original Song
One of your best performances bro! You really put it all on the line with this original jam. It has a nice groove and you layered it with such love and harmonic care. Your vocals were on point and the melodies are very well placed and built upon. You outdid yourself with the overall production and presentation of this hit. It has that real good uplifting and healing energy that good music embodies and you never slide off from your guitar expertise either. You play with such purpose and precision. 3. @joseacabrerav’s " Lloro" By Arbol Cover Song
This was a very well laid back chill jam song that expresses so many emotions about reminiscing on how things were and how things are during the transitions of growing moments and life experiences. Sometimes we do do foolish things and run our mouths without a filter not considering the impacts or consequences and affects, but as we grow older and mature, we see things from a new lens and perspective and all the negative instances only highlight our cautious and vigilant ways to better ourselves as people. This song in particular has a hopeful and life lesson vibe that speaks to the soul and I really enjoyed the ambience and presentation of how your released your feelings and thoughts into this thought provoking melodies that make one think and reflect on life and our choices. Thank you for sharing this gem and looking forward to more of your originals in the future.
4. @dianakyv's "Contigo En La Distancia Cover Song
You are a truly gifted singer who can bring notes to life with ease and the emotions of your singing are palpable and tangible. This was a highly entertaining and soothing entry and I would rather just be enjoying the music over and over again than writing this praising review to your entry. You have all that it takes to be a consistent winner in the open mic contest, stay true to your voice and message and this was a great cover choice. 5. @silentscreamer's "Show Must Go On" By Queen Cover Song
You showing more of your rock queen side just solidifies your versatility as an overall musician and performer. This was a clean performance, but maybe with the headphones, I felt like you held back just a bit, but I know your vocals can blow when you really want them too. I love how you make every entry your own and you push forth with real conviction and passion to show us that you take music very seriously and you care about the overall presentation and production, which shows a lot about your character. This was definitely a treat and a good cover choice for your range. Your violin playing needs no commentary, you always ace that field.
