Are they studying or are they playing their Switch?
In Japan, schoolkids, mostly high schoolers, flock to the library after school. On test weeks, they flock to the library almost all day, every day. In their tightly controlled lives, the library is one of the few places parents will let them go without question. No doubt the purported or alleged reason is study. And it is a good claim. In Japanese school pretty much the only thing one does is study for tests and take them—then forget it all and start studying for the next test. But in truth, once they get to the library they usually either start socializing or playing video games.
Is that what this group here is doing? Hmmm.
