Hot ice rides my skull face first
scrape me off the floor I can't
bear the internal pressure flood-
gate through my nose sieve
let it out. Let it out, please?
Excedrin, tea, broth, blankets
coveted darkness heal me
coveted quiet even this key-
board tapping is an air strike
me down. I'm down. I'm out
from under the covers but
shaded and shaking, gag
reflex won't unhand my neck
I am bracing for freedom
feeling pain. is freedom pain?
White flag waving, someone
save me. Someone save me.
Someone save me. Some-
one save me. Someone save
me. Someone save me.
