KPI DASHBOARD - PROMO-STEEM

Here is a report for the promo-steem and stats community about selected Key Performance Indicators over the last four months on the promo-steem tag. This is based upon raw data from SteemSQL (a nod to @arcange for this immense source).

This data represents data from posts with a primary tag of promo-steem [Data Feed taken 28 MAR 18].

KPI DASHBOARD

I'll look at these KPIs in two sections:

AUTHORS & VOTES

You can see a significant step up in the use of the promo-steem tag in January.
This increase in authors is both immense and global – and there is no question that the catalyst was the trio of @anarcotech @starkerz @stephenkendal with the promo-steem website build, the white paper mission, and the start of the @Steem-Ambassador programme.

HOW MUCH DOES THE AUTHOR EARN FOR AN AVERAGE POST

The following KPI is showing how many authors earned less than $1 on average for their post (red line), or how many authors earned on average more than $50 for their promo-steem post (blue line), and there are three levels I’ve chosen to show in between.

For example, in the last 30 days – 6 authors averaged over $50 for their posts where as 779 authors average less than $1 for their posts!!

The key line for me is the red line – looking at the vast majority of people in our promo-steem community- and thinking – how can we change this!

DO WE REALLY VALUE THESE AT LESS THAN A DOLLAR SBD?

As you can see from the graph – whilst there is remarkable growth in authors tagging promo-steem and promoting the platform the current “funding” in the "promo-steem sphere" is not enough to lift the average author vote for many people above $1 SBD.

For many people that are operating in this "promo-steem sphere" it might not be about the earnings, as there are many people in this tag who are here for the long term. They are building a community, aiming to build a humanitarian mission, consistently spreading the message of love of Steemit and the blockchain and enjoying engaging with the community they build around this mission.

But I can tell you, I have spent countless hours scrolling this page (/created/promo-steem) taking my time to learn about the initiatives around the world and there are so many decent posts that go massively unrewarded. There are a significant number worth much more than a single dollar SBD.

We have to do something about this....

Which brings me onto....

DELEGATION

We need to bring more POWER into the promo-steem tag through delegation to the @Steem-Ambassador account and allow the Steem-Ambassadors to be the eyes and ears of curating high-quality content. The C.A.M.P.U.S (Community Automated Multi Proof-of-brain Upvoting System) will ensure that quality posts with a promo-steem tag with 3 @Steem-Ambassadors upvotes get a share of the reward dished out by the @Steem-Ambassador account. Read all about CAMPUS from @anarcotech here.

I have more to add to the delegation debate but for today will defer to the important message sent by @Steem-Ambassador on how and why to delegate here and then the legend @Starkerz leading by example here with a tremendously generous delegation.

Here is the status of delegation as at today.

And also, I need to doff my cap to @gold84 for initiatives at drumming up support for delegation. Such as this post here. Also thanks to @anarcotech for feeding me the raw data diet to help with this analysis.

HERE ARE THE THIRTY OFFICIAL STEEM-AMBASSADORS

These are the Steemians who are upvoting the High-Quality Posts which go into the CAMPUS @Steem-Ambassador Upvoting System.

So what’s the message to authors: basically follow the guidelines for a post to be considered high-quality here.

"It's the first issue of the dashboard - so any feedback would be gratefully received, please"

Keep up the quality promo-steem work – more related posts to follow soon!
