WHAT IS THE PROMO-STEEM @steem-ambassador MULTI PROOF OF BRAIN VOTING GUILD
The Guild is the worlds first decentralized rewards distribution system whereby the community that the guild serves is able to elect and approve trusted members (known as Steem Ambassadors), who will distribute rewards to the community's highest value bloggers without relying on a central, single corruptible user or entity. In this case the guild system is being applied to the #promo-steem tag in order to reward the best Steem promoters in a decentralized manner.
The Guild automatically up votes once several (currently set at 3 or more) Steem Ambassadors have up voted a blog on the #promo-steem tag.
The technology is called CAMPUS (An acronym for Community Automated Multi Proof-of-brain Upvoting System) and is discussed in @anarcotech's blog HERE
This guild is the key mechanism to the Steem community being able to reward its best steem promoters in a decentralized, autonomous manner. In order to ensure the sustainability and growth of the Promo Steem community and its now over 2,000 dedicated individual posters and promoters.
The following will explain the how delegators and Steem Ambassadors will be rewarded for delegating and interacting with the guild. It will also allow other Steem promoters to easily explain why it is such a great idea to campaign for delegation to the @steem-ambassador
WHY SHOULD YOU DELEGATE / TERMS OF DELEGATION
- Delegators will receive 85% of the curation rewards which is paid to the delegator at the end of each quarter.
- Steem Ambassadors who curate over 35 blogs per week which are tagged with #promo-steem will receive 10% of the curation reward, which is paid to the Steem Ambassador at the end of each quarter.
- The best performing Steem Ambassadors / promoters will receive 5% of the curation rewards which is paid at the end of each quarter.
- Delegation can be withdrawn at any time
- The aim is to automate the pay out process in order to make them daily pay outs instead of quarterly - We are working on this
By delegating to support promo-steem via the @steem-ambassador account, you are directly supporting the most amazing steemians on the platform, who are dedicated to promoting steem to the world.... voluntarily!!
They Steemians posting to the #promo-steem tag are involved in the following types of work:
- Evangelizing for Steem
- Bringing in new investors to the Steem Eco System
- Putting on Presentations and Seminars about Steem
- University talks about Steem
- Web / digital marketing for Steem
- Humanitarian work powered by Steem
- TV and Radio broadcasting
- Educating newbies in Steem
- Putting on Steem meetups and events
As well as receiving the curation reward fee, we will issue a regular delegator report to show the community who has delegated and therefore who is responsible for the amazing support the #promo-steem community is getting. This will be seen by the thousands of regular promoters and steemians who interact with #promo-steem. This will provide the delegators with extra support and acknowledgement from the community!
INSPIRATION
We were inspired to further develop the #promo-steem initiative following our talk with @andrarchy soon after the success of Steemfest2. We have since developed the Steem Ambassador Programme, the Guild and hence a decentralized support network that leverages the Steem blockchain to reward the best Steem Promoters. WHO ARE STEEM AMBASSADORS?
- They are trusted members of the community who have a proven track record of having executed dedicated promotional work for the Steem blockchain.
- They are elected by the community using the approval process HERE
- They have all agreed to follow the Steem Ambassador Community Guidelines and Responsibilities
- They are key members of the Steem community who will act as a support layer to enable the Steem community to easily direct resources and rewards to the best promoters on the platform
- Ambassador performance is tracked and reported back to the community regularly. This allows us to reward the best performing Ambassadors and highlight any funny business to the community so that we can take action and hold Ambassadors to account to the community that voted them in. This is a typical report
- There are currently 30 Steem Ambassadors. There are many more excellent applications currently being reviewed. They are posted to the tag #ambassadorapplication where you can take a look at the pending applications in your own time.

Simply copy the above link, type in your username without the @ symbol where it says YOURUSERNAME no spaces. Easiest way to make sure you don't make a mistake, just copy paste your user name without the @ symbol (MAKE SURE YOU USE LOWER CASE FOR YOUR USER NAME).
