With Steem Summit's Official Announcement of the summit proper, let this post be an official mark of the start of pre-summit activities. As Steem Summit aims to be "Steemit in real life", activities that could bring out Cebuanos' passions and talents are to be pursued.
It has been made clear that there will be an exhibit during the summit proper. This would highlight the best in their chosen categories. The screening to choose the best will be done in pre-summit in order to streamline those works that will be shown in the summit proper.
The organizers recognized that they can't do all the screening on their own. Also, to avoid bias, the organizers will not involve themselves in the screening process. They will just collate all the works that the panelists have chosen.
In that regard, the organizers are calling for exhibit panelists in the following categories:
- POETRY - it showcases the expressive personality of Cebuanos through literature with artistic merit.
- TRAVEL POSTS - it showcases the strong desire of Cebuanos to travel and share their experiences in a detailed write up.
- ART - it showcases the artistic and technical skills of Cebuanos in varied range of activities intended to be marvelled for their elegance and power.
- PHOTOGRAPHY - it showcases the passion of Cebuanos in telling visual stories through this chosen medium.
The organizers needed THREE (3) Panelists in each category.
Requirements to be a Panelist:
- You must be a seasoned Steemian. As this is a pre-summit activity, call for panelists is not only limited to Cebuano steemians. Anyone is invited to be a panelist, as long as you are a seasoned steemian. A seasoned steemian is someone who has been in the platform long enough to know how the platform works.
- You must be able to distinguish quality in your chosen category. You don't have to be an expert in your chosen category; as long as you know how to judge quality submissions and rank them, you are qualified to be a panelist.
- You can spare some time in your week to judge entries. If you are sure that you can commit to submit your scorecard to the organizers within the allowed time, you deserve to be a panelist. The organizers will try their best to send tokens of appreciation to the panelists after the summit.

Since Kim (@ybanezkim26) is the Exhibit Manager, he has the sole discretion to choose the panelists, with the suggestions of the other organizers. You may also contact the other organizers namely: @honeyletsgo, @legendarryll, and @thegaillery.
Responsibilities of a Panelist:
As a panelist, you will be responsible in choosing which Cebuanos' works of art will be put up in the exhibit. The Exhibit Manager and the organizers are mainly to collate the chosen works. In essence, as a panelist, you will be the one to dictate the outcome of the exhibit.
You will be provided with a criteria for judging and it will also be posted in the call for submissions in different categories. All you have to do is rate and choose the best work; nothing more.
