How Noobs Can Start Using Steemit As A Skill Sharing Platform

Steemit is all about rewarding people for information and the time and effort it takes to share that information.

What if we took that to the next level, but on a level that noobs could participate in?

I recently wrote a book comment on one of @emmyem84's articles about how she'd hoped Steemit would help supplement the income she makes an entrepreneur. But she was feeling discouraged because of the recent decline. (Sorry about my lengthy comment, lol!)

Knowing that I want my blog to do the same (here's a giveaway I'm doing as part of my "Steemit business" approach), I was trying to think of a way we could help each other.

So, @emmyem84, what do you think about this?

We utilize Steemit as a skill sharing platform.

I can write an article dedicated to answering a question or problem you're facing that happens to match my skill set. Rather than pay me money, you could pay me back with an article in your skill set. And of course, we can upvote and resteem each other's content too. If other's benefit from the *free* advice we're sharing, then hopefully they'll upvote and resteem. They could also get in on the skill sharing idea!

Here's an example.

You mentioned that you need to work on time management. This happens to be something I'm coaching a friend through right now (and have helped others with in the past). I'd be happy to write an article on what I'm doing with her and what I think could be helpful for someone with your personality (based on what I've gathered from your blog.)

At the end of my article, I'll ask you to write a reciprocating article that capitalizes on your skill of research and passion for Steemit. (I was thinking of topics like "should I use bots," "what you would prioritize between commenting, upvotes, etc." or something like that.)

Then we could just keep going back and forth. If others are interested in joining, they could just comment on one of our articles with their skill set and a question they want answered. We can "claim" their question and pose a question back to them once we've posted the answer.

My husband @ironmanmatt might get it on it too :)

A few things I could write about that might be helpful:

  • how to create a business plan for Steemit
  • time management
  • how to create and optimize blog posts
  • how to write blog posts more efficiently

If you like the idea, just let me know what question you'd like answered in the comments, and I'll start writing an article on it!
