1. Community Curators for June
Steemit is inviting applications from anyone who would like to become a Community Curator for June.
Applications are invited from individuals rather than teams, and again there will be no specific themes for the individual teams.
Team Millionaire, for contests, and Team Newcomer, for newcomers, will both be continuing.
Competition for Curators places will be tougher for June as Steemit has moved to smaller teams with only four members each.
The closing date for applications is 11:59 pm UTC, on Monday 22 May 2023...

3. Power Ups
The latest stats from @remlaps this week have revealed a small decrease in the amount of STEEM that is powered up.
The past week has seen a 76K (0.04%) decrease to 173,508,846 STEEM powered up, equivalent to a value of $33,627,575...
@remlaps continues to track the impact of Steemit's burnsteem25 campaign encouraging people to set a 25% beneficiary to @null to reduce the amount of STEEM, which potentially will increase its value.
In the past week there were 3,626 SP in burned beneficiary rewards and there were 1,235 burnsteem25 posts.
The total burnt since June 2022 has now reached 169K SP, 113K STEEM, and 1,146 SBD...
