Introducing: Steemit Quality Content Initiative
It's a new year and new things come with it. It's going to be an exciting year for Steemit and there's a lot of things coming to this platform in 2018. Smart Media Tokens are soon to make their grand introduction to the Steemit platform and that's going to be something to see!

I first introduced a concept that I believe will help minnows to learn & grow, in a new way:

I began to refine the concept and the process to simplify it as much as I can with what tools I have. I also began to search for developers in hopes to find others interested in furthering this initiative:

As of January 1, 2018, I have successfully helped an author on Steemit, one that I did not know prior to this initiative, to format and find public domain media to enhance thier post. THANK YOU @bobreedo for allowing me the opportunity!

WHAT IS STEEMIT QUALITY CONTENT INITIATIVE?
A community concept that I have offered to everyone on Steemit, for everyone on Steemit. ANYONE can participate in this initiative and there's a way for virtually everyone on this platform to benefit from it.
With One Purpose: Encourage & Enhance Quality Content on the Steemit Blockchain by connecting quality authors with quality media, formatting, and resources.
A Service That Benefits EVERYONE On Steemit
The aim is to gather those willing to teach and connect them with those who wish to learn. There's a lot of quality content creators on Steemit, but that takes many trial & error to achieve. So many great authors and creators come here to Steemit, but might find it challenging to really make the most out of the capabilities this platform has to offer in terms of content creation. I have heard many minnows discuss their challenges with learning markdown and html - that's what made me start thinking of ways to eliminate that challenge. Then it hit me.
I thought: Why not help authors myself, create a process that is simple enough for others to replicate and turn this into a community effort?! So, that is exactly what I'm going to do.
After setting this in motion and going through the process with some steemit authors, I realized the need for the proper tools. Tools that make this task simpler, not complicate it - after all, we are trying to teach and help people grow, not send them running for the hills!
Refining the Process
I came across a new tool that I plan to use and the two methods previously shared will be sidelined. A tool called FIREPAD.io is as close to the tool that we need so it will do for now. I would still prefer to work with a developer to create a similar tool on the Steemit blockchain, so please contact me if you'd like to help make that happen!
This allows users to collaborate in real-time - so people like me (graphic design, media creators, formatting gurus) can share their skills with talented authors on Steemit that might not have the knowledge, ability, or tools to enhance their posts with high-quality media. This bridges a gap and generates better content on Steemit - something we can all agree MUST happen in order for this platform to grow.
Better content allows authors to generate greater earnings and capture the attention of more readers.
It also helps to balance the Steemit scale by growing quality creators from minnows to dolphins and whales. Many will gain a deeper understanding of how they can enhance their posts simply by seeing it. By connecting authors with media/graphic/content creators/format-wizards, we are essentially creating a powerful new breed of creators.
I firmly believe this will enhance the quality of content as more people become familiar with where they can find helpful services like the one I'm offering (which hopefully others will replicate as well).
There are many powerful authors out there who know that they could enhance their work with media, making rich content for their readers, but they might not necessarily know how. When I came to Steemit 6 months ago it was an uphill battle to figure out how to format my posts and organize my thoughts. Thanks to great creators before me, I had examples of excellent posts to learn from. It isn't easy to learn a new platform while learning new programs and code on top of that. That's why I want to identify ways that I can reduce or eliminate that challenge for more users.
