1. Good news folks, I have found a printing company that will take the load of 80% of the process, I will build the website portal and accept the Steem, they will print & ship orders for me and all I have to do is keep them paid up in USD.
I have a business relationship with a rather solid printing company and while putting in a new order the other day I started thinking about drop shipping through them, so I wen't ahead and asked them how the felt if I wanted to use them for such a project, and they were very open. So starting today I will begin working on the website portal and getting things set up, some t-shirt designs pre printed and what not, then they will begin to fill orders twice a week, tuesdays and thursdays. And I am working pricing out with them as well as we speak, hopefully worldwide shipping won't be an issue but if it is I can always take those orders upon myself and have minimums or what not. Either way this seems to be a pain point in our community and I would love to alleviate it!
2. Meaning, we can slowly grow the "Steem clothing inventory" over time, and have a solid successful printing company handling the back end for us, this could become a very big project for Steem growth in the coming months.
The cool part about this entire project is it doesn't really rely on me at all, this is all going through them, they will be printing, filling orders and shipping the shirts in small bundles anywhere in the world most likely, and all I will have to do is collect the Steem, and pay them in USD each month when the bill is due. Not to bad a deal if I say so myself... I can see this blowing up very quickly to be honest... this is like t-shirt gold!
3. www.SteemThreads.com has been purchased and is being developed starting today, this will be the portal where Steemians can shop with Steem/SBD for t-shirts and other gear!
I wanted to provide a Steem branded web portal that lets use pay for clothing with their Steem and the back end/printing company takes care of the rest. Now I have built plenty of web stores in my years, but this one I take extreme pride in building and hope it will be one of the most attractive web based stores out there, especially in the crypto sphere. I plan to only host 1-5 items at first, then slowly build the shop out to have a wide array of Steem/Zappl/SteepShot/ChainBB branded products, that are all purchasable in Steem!
