Hooray Readers! Bringing a blog post to share a little bit of my experience so far on how to improve your page.
On this blog post I'd like to bring something different, in reality, the initial plan was to release a summary of all my blog posts divided into categories, but during the creativity process of writing I though - why not explaining why I'm doing this.
Let's take a quick look on general Steemit strategies that are widely known on the Steem universe, that way we can dive into the Page Organization/Layout aspect that I want to talk about, making your page more appealing, thus leading to better views.

Steemit Strategies to Build Your Channel
By any means I claim to be a successful Steemian, however, I'm seeing improvements each day and I get super exicited when new members approach me asking for advice on how they can improve on the platform. Believe me, I stop everything I'm doing just to help.
I'm not going through all the strategies because that's not the main idea on this post. For that, doing a quick search on the web you'll find the same tips I found when I first started out more than 8 months ago. On a quick list you'll find.
Technical Strategies (not a fan of some of these)
- Using bots / Buying upvotes
- Using apps that reward with upvotes
- Learning how to manage tags
- Learning the best time to post
- Page organization/layout
Community Strategies
- Being part of a community
- Working on Steemit projects
- Improving your content
- Being active
- Building projects / contests yourself
- Participating in contests
- Being genuinely friendly
- ... and the list goes on
You can study and test every strategy on the list and see what works and doesn't work, just keep in mind that it'll take time and positivity to keep on going, even when rewards are null. I do recomend following every Community Strategy, as they are by far the most rewarding overall; you'll meet great people and make friends on your niche and even outside of your topic of choice, this way granting you a long term relationship on the platform. Try it out, hop on Discord, say hello, be friendly and don't give up!
Now... what I really wanted to talk about is.
Page Organization/Layout
Among all the tips I've read when I first started last year, I never saw people mentioning Page Organization. Of course chosing a great image for the thumbnail and carefully thinking on your title will greatly increase your chances to be seen on the chaotic tag system.
But how about when it comes to finding posts on a page?
I believe that organizing your posts in categories is a great form to have a beautiful and appealing page, where users will naturally scroll through and find what they really want to read; be it a photo post, or travel or something completely off topic. That way, readers will know what to expect from your page, instead of clicking on posts just to discover that they didn't want to read that article afterall. It'll also be great to guide you through the writing process, avoiding posting random and irrelevant stuff.
However, this may be one of the big flaws on Steemit or any other blogging app over the Steem blockchain, none of them offer an option to sort posts by personal tags, something like WordPress does very well.
To make things even worse, posts that are older than 7 days tend to enter this limbo, where no one will ever find and read them, which is sad somehow. Sometimes old posts contain valuable information that could be useful further on the road, upvoting them is out of question, but reading is not. Maybe you are looking for that info that you read on a page or maybe you just want to re-read that story your friend published months ago. If you ever found yourself on this situation, you know the struggle to scroll down trying to find it.
Tip to Organize Tour Page
Some Steemians don't like to divide the page into series, others don't divide at all; it is a users preference. For me, having my posts divided into categories helps on consistency and serves as a guide for those who pass by.
Just by looking at the titles they have a clue of what I like to write and what is the post about. Not to mention that it'll help you summarize all your content for further presentation, like a portfolio.
My Page Summary
This is an introduction to my Content Summary post, that I'll present at the end of each month, featuring all the content history. This way you can have everything that I have written on the page in a list.
The objective with this summary is not to grant extra reward, that would be impossible, but it is to provide easy access to the articles. For some reason I believe some of them are quite useful. Let's go!
