My name is Emediong Silas, @biljed here on steemit,i am 47 days old on this platform and every step and time here has been worth it.
This competition has been an avenue for me to express how it all started, the challenges I have faced, the success that has been produced and the future I look forward to..

When the link for this week was opened by @dorbatim, I sincerely was out of ideas on what to do because I felt I had already digested all I had to share, but that's the beauty of steemit; every day has a different story and the outcome is always amazing.
So my story this week would revolve round the communities I have come to be a part of on steemit,the effect of being a member and also the knowledge I acquired.
Firstly, I will start of with one community that has been a blessing in ways I would never know it all; the @stach community.
Being one tag I reference in 95% of my posts on my blog, this is one community that's always ready to support and encourage each other to grow.
The next community who I would call my nuclear family is the @steemit-uyo community.
When you speak of being closely knitted in a community, this will be it for me.
Although I don't chat often on this platform in our whatsapp group, their support and encouragement is overwhelming.. This community is a definition of;
out of sight,is not out of mind
Yesterday, I was in a brief get to know each other organized by @vheobong and there was a reward for the first 10 people who would do so and I sure participated and I was among the winners. 💃💃💃.

Also, still from the community, I got a major Upvote from @destinysaid and his curation trail..
This was an epic moment for me, because before his Upvote my posts had made $0.46 and I don't know how he learnt of my blog and the posts but he sure made an impact because my posts (all 4) I made that morning experienced an increase to a tune of $2.37 least.
I am particularly humbled and excited for his support and benevolence. This helped my reputation increase to 45 in split seconds. I kept shouting and screaming for joy when @ginabot kept notifying me of recent events. @samstickkz can relate..i poured it all on him 😂😂😂😂. Thank you Sir @destinysaid for this. My deepest and sincere gratitude 🤗🤗
Succeeding would be @teardrops; a community set up by @surpassinggoogle. This is one community that has helped my earnings through comments.
Should I make a post on my blog and it earns $0.30,i am always encouraged because I know a constructive comment on the community would help me through it.
This has been an encouraging community especially for minnows like me 🤗🤣
And then we have the @steemitschool, a community on discord organized by @dorbatim, to encourage one to learn from another and there are different niches available according to your inclination. After I finished my semester examinations, I got the opportunity to join this group and it's beautiful and amazing getting to learn tips on things you never knew mattered. I have met new people and slowly getting to have friends. I am just 2days on that community but already enjoying the community. Feel free to share in this amazing team by visiting the discord channel

One of my followers here on steemit I look up to is @dorbatim and my joy can never be contained when I get to his page or when he makes a visit to mine; he is always so supportive and encouraging, and to think we are from different countries. He makes me a better person than I was yesterday and am always striving to do more because of his daily capsule
believe in yourself and we win together.
So I take on new opportunities and activities because his words just keep echoing.
Also, a major community I have benefited from is the @steemhive community, this is a community out to promote and develop each other's skills by organizing contests, by which members participate and winners are rewarded. I have joined in contest set by made and I have emerged a winner.
Then there is the @genesisproject,this community I have been a member right from the time I joined steemit and it's been rewarding as educative been on this platform.. Everyone is out to get to know each other and encourage us all..
In all, these communities are indications that a tree cannot make a forest and we all need each other to survive. With them, I have grown, made mistakes and learnt from it, met new friends who have been a source of motivation and I have helped in my own way. I have become better than I was before now. Steemit has brought all this to me and for that am grateful 🙋
