A great Year to Be Stacking

First post of the new year and i have wiped the slate and making a fresh start. With Stax new tiers in place, i have a new game plan on how i will build my account. Steemit are should i say steemsilvergold is a long term thing for me, expect to see me around for long time. I say steemsilvergold because it is 95% of my steemit experience, i do very little outisde the tag. This is the reason my follower numbers grow very slowly but it works for me because i can write back to every comment on all my posts. Having 1000+ members and that might be harder. I will help Stax and Stax will help me, thats the plan. The community will grow, more content will get produced and it will be the best year. Alot of changes have come into place toward the end of 2017, but onward and upward they say.

I have wiped the slate clean folks. I gathered up around 230 Steem by converting SBD over the past month. I took some profits off the table and cleared my Steem balance to zero for a fresh start. The price is good at the minute, i want some other alt coins and starting with a zero balance keeps it tidy. Here's what i got with my 230 Steem. 5300 Tron, 0.5 Ltc, 10 Eos, 0.2 Eth and a silver membership to Stax for Jan 2018. Im just releasing that this is half of what i get paid from Steemit last month. Everyday in Dec i converted around half of my SBD into steem and spent the other half on minnowboster. Thats crazy, the price increase has really made a huge difference. So, the slate is clean and ready for the new year. I have had my treat, time for work again.

Growing my account...

If you know me, you know i like to keep it simple. In a nutshell, i need 50 Steem per month to be a Silver member. I plan to convert 1 SBD a day, everyday when i am doing my rounds (updating my excel sheets) into Steem and build it to 50 for the end of each month. At the current rate, we get 2.5 steem per SBD, i could assume this could avg 2 steem per SBD over the month giving me my 50 steem after the end of the 3rd week each month. I will use my remaining SBD to boast my posts with minnowbooster. This service is paying out very well the from the price increase in SBD, i guess less people are using it. For me, it is a good way to build SP long term. As time passes, i might even beable to go for gold membership in 4-5 months.

2018 for #steemsilvergold...

Stax is the hot topic at the minute but leaving her aside, what does 2018 bring for the #steemsilvergold community? First and for most we will have the 2018 Steemit silver round. This will be the second years release and i am sure many contests and great posts will be involved in that. @silvergoldcomps will host community group contests.
We will most likely see a new membership enrollment process. It was brought up in a recent post and suggested instead of Stax selecting members, new members are vouched/sponsored for by existing members. Maybe something like each new member needs 2 sponsors and each member gets 2 votes per month. I could do a weekly post including tables for each member of the group with there selected votes. I would edit votes into these posts daily to keep them updated. At the end of the month, Stax would beable to add the new members very quickly as all the information is displayed to all members. Could be a weekly thing are a monthly thing? That would be up to the community.
@silvergoldcomps will be doing more contests for members in 2018. All SBD made from this account is given back to members through contest rewards. All SP earned is marked to be delegated to Stax. This is still a fairly new account ran by @welshstaker and is growly slowly. Please treat this the same way you would Stax and supports its post and enter the contests, there free SBD to be had for members and they are piss easy contests. Welsh has made them idiot proof :)
Finally, Discord is starting to add alot of new features and i am watching a bunch of youtube video's on how to tweek things. I dont wonna try something and mess it all up but there will be changes coming there also. As the membership tiers seem to be in stone for at least a month, i will sync membership levels on the discord server with Stax's. We are looking into a possible way of getting an upvote from Stax for adding a post to the server. This would be a once a day thing to stop abuse and is only in talks but would work like, post your posts url and get an upvote. We are also looking into a steemsilvergold store, the main problem with this is we would like to accept crypto's as payment and this seems to be a problem. Thats something to iron out but we will get there, we always do.
