We should have all seen some of the recent posts made by Stax about new #steemsilvergold membership tiers and rewards. If you have missed them, please click the name @silvergoldbotty and read the last few posts. They have very interesting to say the least and you might need a good hour to get a good read through all the comments. I as wondering what do the changes mean to you? I need to produce 50 Steem a month as i would like to be a silver member. I think everyone should be able to make nickle membership with a little effort. Here's my plan and how i will get there. Whats yours?

Me, Stax and why i need her?

Under the old voting system for Stax, i was receiving 25% upvote, under the new one i am receiving 5%. Stax is my biggest upvoter and i would miss her vote. I spoke with @phelimint this afternoon on the group's discord and straightened a few things out. The percentage drop is not an issue, we didnt even speak about that. I think i was getting abit of a free ride for a while to be honest. I have sent 50 Steem to get me into silver membership. I cant be a group mod on copper membership, it does not look good if im am not supporting the bot. The other 2 mods @philimint and @raybrockman are both gold. I need to at least be silver, we are a silver stacking group after all. Plus the boast really helps my posts get seen by more members which is important if i am making a #steemsilvergold post and i want it to be seen by all members.

From my point of view, Stax is a great thing for the group, its the groups most prized asset and the countless hours that @phelimint has put in programming, fine tuning and playing with numbers on excel sheets is unreal. Thats before you consider the time to make a post every day, replie back to comments and answer lots of questions on the group discord server. I have to thank him so much for that and his efforts. I still remember when Stax was released and started its journey with its first post. I have done my best to support the bot from the beginning by voting on all if her posts, making suggestions, pumping some if her posts in my posts and ran the contest that gave Stax her logo. I have not gave much money wise but i have gave my time. If i had a 10k Steemit account, it might be a different story.

New Membership levels for people on copper+ (copy pasted from stax post)

Here is quickly how the Tiers were calculated and voting power.
Gold =100STEEM donation 60% vote
Silver=50STEEM =30%vote
Nickel=10STEEM =12%vote
Copper=Smaller donations or 90%>Vote for Stax-5%
Member= no/limited support -1% Vote
(delegations are calculated at a rate of 100SP=4STEEM)

Time to panic?

My worry is going forward is i might not have 50 Steem in my account at the end of every month to pay for this tier. Stax upvote for silver tier is 30% which around $3.88, i make around 10 posts a week and we dont even need to run the numbers to see that's its a good deal. However, the way the money is paid to me is the problem. I have my payouts set on 50/50 and worry about being able to convert enough SBD into Steem to pay her. Time will tell, no need to hit the panic button yet.

So, what im a gonna do about it?

Im gonna up my game, thats what im gonna do about it. New year and all that. After the quick chat with @phelimint, we decided that i will continue the do the group membership update posts. I will be annoying him for more stats (i like stats) if he has any to include in the posts which i will continue to do every Monday night. Going forward, instead of displaying the membership list in 1 big text blog, i will be sorting into memberships level tiers to ease of viewing. I always boast these posts up as much using minnowbooster to get them seen. From now on all SBD made from these posts will be converted directly into Steem. 4 posts a month would get me around 20-25 steem at the minute, so half way there. The other 25 should be easy enough to get, like 6 Steem a week. It does not look so bad when wrote down. I guess i can get 50 Steem easy enough, it just need to stay consistant. And i was worrying for nothing, lmao.
