Hi Everyone,
Germany is the land of beer with the annual Oktoberfest as being the most famous beer festival in the world. We were in Munich one year for the Oktoberfest and of course, how can we not have some local beer. We found a restaurant called Spoeckmeier. As it was the Oktoberfest period, many restaurants are packed with people including this one. As it was super busy, the atmosphere was very loud but I loved it.
We didn’t get an English menu but ordered what they recommended on the day. We also ordered two beers - we rarely drink alcohol but thought we should try it.
Below is some of the menu we got from the website
We ordered meatloaf, egg with potato mash type and a pork belly and knuckle combo, potatoes with side salad/veggies. The servings were averaged sized but it was sufficient without ordering an entree.
There are three floors to this restaurant and we had a table on the ground floor. We weren’t able to take pictures of the interior of the restaurant as advised by the waitress and you can’t find many on their website either.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was top notch. The food was acceptable and the beer was nice! I guess that's what Germany is famous for right?
