Off Grid DIY Powerwall Update: Building the Rack for the Powerwall

It doesn't look like much but that's the rack for our Powerwall. Unlike the Tesla Unit, ours will actually be a PowerRack, not a PowerWall. These photos were taken the day John put together the rack for it. At this point it's got all the car batteries and some of the other solar equiptment.

We're in a weird sort of inbetween at this point. Our power bill is past due yet we still haven't been shut off. It's a little annoying considering when we first moved in and our bill was a fifth of the size they showed up a day after it was past due to shut off our power. It's been weeks at this point and we've expected a shut off that hasn't come.

For that reason we're still not off grid. We've only got 9 260 watt panels, which is a lot less than we wanted. It's also a lot of work to put it together. Soon we will though and when we do you all will know about it.
