It is great to see so many people already joining in The Diary Game that we announced a couple of days ago.
To make it as easy as possible for everyone we are making a few changes to how the Game operates.
The Diary Game - How to Get Involved
To join the game just start posting your daily diary on Steem.
It hasn’t got to be anything wild and exciting. Just your daily life.
What you did each day. Did you work, did you play? What you ate, what you read, what you watched.
Did you go out, or are you still locked down at home?
Include photos where you can.
You can post your diary every day, or just once a week. Or just when you fancy.
Just remember to tag your diary posts with #the100daysofsteem and #thediarygame, and comment on one of the 100 Days posts that you are joining the game.
The Diary Game - Votes, Points and Prizes
We will be watching out for the diaries every day and voting on as many as we can.
Every diary post will also earn points.
Ten points will be available for each diary post in total...
Between 1 and 5 points will be awarded for the quality of the post.
Between 1 and 5 points will be awarded for sharing and promoting your post on social media.
So if you write a great diary post but aren’t able to promote it on your social media you could earn up to 5 points.
But if you write a great post, and promote it well across all your social media you could earn up to 10 points in total.
If you are sharing on social media, add screen shots, links and details of how many shares, retweets etc you get in the comments of the post.
The Diary Game will run until the end of the 100 Days of Steem project.
You can join in at any time, and post as many days as you want.
We will be keeping a record of all the points and producing a leaderboard every Saturday.
At the end of the 100 Days there will be prizes for the people in the top 3 positions.
Diary posts can be in any language. They must be at least 100 words long.
Anyone that is found to be abusing or cheating the game will be excluded from the prizes and upvotes.
The point scheme may be refined as we go along to balance the game and avoid any exploits.
We may include links to the best diary posts in our ‘Look What’s On Steem’ newsletters.
Comment and Earn
To encourage engagement we will also be upvoting some of the best and most relevant comments on the diary posts.
So you can still earn votes from the Diary Game even if you don’t make any actual diary posts!
The Diary Allstars
Only two days into the game and there have already been some great diary posts.
These are a few that have caught our eye so far…
We hope you will enjoy taking part in The Diary Game.
We are looking forward to reading your diaries...
Thank you,
The Steemit Team
