Real Life Captured #18: Weekend Night Market in Chiang Mai Thailand! (18 photos)

Hey there my Steemit friends! Recently I was at the very popular weekend market in the small northern city of Chiang Mai Thailand. For anyone visiting, this is one market you certainly will not want to miss. Chiang Mai is famous for it's cheap prices; at this market it's still cheap but on the higher end of the spectrum. They'll mark up common items like Thai young coconuts and random souvenirs about 20% compared to what you can find in random parts of the city on any given day. This is due to the market's touristy vibe.

The Market is located on the cities main street running through the center of old town called Rachadomnoen Rd. It starts from the cities East Tha Phae Gate. Basically each weekend, Saturday and Sunday around 6pm the traffic stops and seemingly endless vendors appear selling everything from Thai kick boxing shorts to grilled spare ribs. I was here six years ago and it was called the Sunday night market, held only on Sunday!

I suppose business has been so good they now include Saturday, and by the looks of things there are plenty of tourist in this town happy to spend their cash. There is even rows of chairs lined up for people to get messages. I took a tonne of great photos to bring to my fantastic Steemit friends. So this will be another four part series of about 18 photos each. Now let's have a look at what this market is like here in Chiang Mai Thailand!
