Real Life Captured #29: Krabi Town Thailand! Part One (17 photos)

Hi there my steemit friends. I've been to Thailand about a dozen times over the last fifteen years and I can't believe this was my first time in Krabi Town. Quickly Krabi became one of my favorite places in the country. I enjoy just about everywhere in Thailand but not all places are equal.

Koh Phi Phi, too expensive and touristy. Bangkok, to much of a big grungy city. Pataya, too sleazy. This list could go on and on. But I'm not complaining. I fully understand nowhere on this planet is perfect; but Krabi Town comes pretty close in my humble opinion.

It's laid back, safe, not sleazey, has good restaurants, services, and infrastructure. It's very affordable compared to some other places in Thailand; almost on a par with Chiang Mai. You have access to some the nicest beaches in the country in Railey just a short boat ride away.

Hotels are plentiful, affordable, and good quality. The weather is great and you have many tourism activities to do and they are not expensive. It's located along a beautiful river surrounded by mangrove forests. There are also many travelers around to socialize with.

For all these reasons I quickly fell in love with Krabi Town and will certainly be going back on my next visit to Thailand. Now Let's have a look around. Enjoy!
