Hey there my Steemit friends! I was going on one of my "Travel Pro Adventure" hikes one late afternoon. This was through the military base and around the south western coast of San Cristobal Island. At the end of "Avinida del La Armada Nacional" or Avenue of the National Army the paved road abruptly stops and turns into a dirt road.
I had no idea that this dirt road was going to lead directly to this cemetery. So walking up on it was quite a an exciting surprise for me. On the other side of the cemetery is the hiking trail that goes around the coast. But as you can see I certainly took the opportunity to explore this very old cemetery which seemed to have been built on most ideal location of the island to observe the sunset.
I'm by no means any type of Marylin Manson fan of death or anything like that, quite frankly I'm the opposite. However I do love history and culture. This cemetery brings both of these things as well as an incredible setting along the coast of San Cristobal Island in the Galapagos! Now let's have look at this eerie and interesting place.
