Babymoon
Note that I had aspired to get this awesome post with the entire babymoon/Singapore adventure done with the hope that @curie or @ocd-resteem found it and did their awesome thing, but given it is almost a month since the babymoon and three weeks since we picked up our little man, I am finding that time is limited so instead I will be putting it out in parts.
Singapore: Clarke Quay
When we got matched with our son, we decided to take a few days prior to pick up to spend together. I like to call this my babymoon, kinda like a honeymoon but instead of post action, do it pre, as who has time after they have a baby.
I am sure my hubby @shai-hulud would have been happy at home gaming right up to the last minute, but as the saying goes happy wife, happy life so we landed in Singapore with two days and three nights to spend exploring.
We spent our time well getting to most of the tourist spots, seeing them by both day and night. Here is Clarke Quay for you to enjoy:
This place was just outside our hotel, so an easy walk and the first place we visited by day, it was super quiet as we walked through at 11 am, with only a handful of restaurants open for business, many of those just setting up. One that was open was this restaurant, not one we were ready to eat at but it peaked our interest.
We didn't get back to Clarke Quay until the last night but what a difference night made, the whole place came to life with a mix of lights, live music food and tourists/locals out for a good night.
Something that wasn't as obvious during the day was the number of bars and nightclubs that were hidden in the daylight. I had never seen a purpose-built beer ping table, so couldn't resist dashing into this one for a cheeky photo.
We even found a little piece of home, Fremantle is just over half an hours drive from our home, and is well known for its seafood and brewed beers, something we didn't need to try in Singapore, especially given the cost of beer.
Clarke Quay is made up of four blocks A/B/C/D and malls that join the clocks are covers with these giant umbrellas that protect from the sun and the rain, at night they light up for a spectacular view.
Well, that is part one of our babymoon adventure, I hope with an hour a day set aside for Steemit while little man sleeps will be enough to pump out the other parts in a reasonable amount of time.
As always thanks for reading and hope to see you next time.
